Another Habitat for Humanity House will be built this year in Dover.  This time the Thrivent North York Chapter will be joined by other churches from other denominations.  The build will take place from July through September 2009.  Many spots are available including some weekend shifts.  The shifts will most likely run from 7:30a.m. until 11:30a.m. and the second shift from 12:30p.m. until 4:30p.m.   For details see Mark Snyder.

Re-Member Native American Outreach Program

In 2005, members of the congregation took a trip to South Dakota to assist Native Americans.  They built beds, cleaned cemeteries, experienced a new culture, and spread the word of Jesus.  The same group is currently raising funds to purchase bedding to be sent to the Lakota Indian Tribe Reservation.  This mission is being coordinated through Re-Member and Mark Snyder.

Biloxi Mission Trip
October 2008

These pictures are of David and Shelia's house after our mission group was there in October, who were victims of hurricane Katrina.  They worked in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.  As you can see these rooms have been freshly renewed with paint, new flooring, and new furniture and fixtures.  They have finally moved in and are having fun shopping for rugs and curtians.  They expressed their gratitude on our help and said they couldn't have done it without us.  A job well done!

Thanks to all who participated in this mission trip!
